The early years and the autism spectrum

This workshop will help you focus on strategies and supports that can help to build a foundation of learning and success for children on the autism spectrum in the early years. We will discuss key strategies and supports that can be used by parents, educators, social workers, psychologists, and allied health professionals to support children following their diagnosis and through their transition into school. Participants will be provided with knowledge and information on research related to early development of children on the autism spectrum and will be provided with specific strategies to support development of social communication and cognitive skills, address sensory and developmental needs, and facilitate successful transition into school.
