Wiradjuri author Tara June Winch (former UOW Arts student) has won the Miles Franklin Literary Award — Australia’s most prestigious writing prize, and one of its richest at $60, 000 — for her novel The Yield.

The Vice-Chancellor’s Award for Global Strategy recognises staff who have achieved outstanding success, given exceptional service and/or have demonstrated extraordinary leadership or innovation in their work with a specific emphasis on driving UOW’s global strategy and profile.
