Next steps

If professional services employees vote to accept the relevant proposed variation, and academic staff members vote to accept the relevant proposed variation, both documents will be lodged with the Fair Work Commission for approval. If one agreement is not supported the University will not proceed to lodge either variation for approval.

If both agreements are supported, and the Fair Work Commission approves the variation, the variation will come into effect on a date specified by the Fair Work Commission. Until then, the provisions in the existing agreements continue to apply.

If you have any questions about the content of the agreement variation, please email employment-relations@uow.edu.au.
