Update from the UOW Pulse CEO 2 April, 2020

As we head towards the start of online course delivery, there are still students and staff who are attending Campus for a variety of reasons.  It is important for us to continue to serve our campus community through retail, food and beverage and services.  Thank you to everyone who has supported Pulse businesses during these times. Starting 06 April various businesses will be open for those of you who remain on campus and those who visit.  At this point UniActive including the Sports Hub and Pool, and UniBar remain closed.  Kids’ Uni Wollongong Campus, IC and Wollongong CBD continue to operate.

Operating hours for all outlets can be found here. These hours may continue to vary and I ask that you continue to check the website.

This week we expanded our online UniShop store and we are now offering essential items and pre-packaged meals through the UniShop website.   We have meals that are ready to heat when you’re ready to eat plus milk, snacks, toilet paper and more.  All available through click and collect here.  We’ve made it easy, order online by 3pm and pick before 5pm through UniShop.

Studying online is a new learning experience for UOW students and with Pulse’s purpose to enrich the student experience we’ve looked to support the student community and deliver a student engagement program to connect, support and build communities online.  This week I’m launching UOW Pulse’s UniLife Online program where students can engage through online activities including trivia, yoga, and lunch on your lounge, competitions, clubs and society’s communities plus lots more.  My goal is to support UOW students through this new learning experience.  You can keep up to date with initiatives through our Facebook page.  Please share any of these programs and help us support the campus community.
