What is the role of the Consultative Committee?
UniSuper is the Superannuation Fund chosen by a large proportion of staff and employees at University of Wollongong.
As part of its governance arrangements, UniSuper has a consultative committee structure. It is the voice of members and reviews and approves changes to the Trust Deed and nominates people to be appointed as directors of the Board of the Trustee.
University of Wollongong Representation
The University of Wollongong is entitled to four Consultative Committee representatives, two representing the employer and two representing staff and employees. Of the two representing staff and employees, one represents academic staff and one represents the professional (non-academic) employees.
Representatives serve a four-year term.
The term of the current professional (non-academic) employee representative has concluded.
Who is eligible for nomination?
Nominations are only open to professional (non-academic) employees who are members of either the UniSuper Defined Benefit Division or accumulation 2. Staff members can check their Division membership details via their UniSuper statement or UniSuper online.
