There has been close to 400 enrollments in the Share our Pride Cultural awareness training.

Be the first team, faculty or division to have all staff complete the Base Cultural Awareness training on moodle.  This quiz aligns with the Share our Pride offering by Reconciliation Australia and our very own Reconciliation Action Plan. Upon successful completion of the quiz, teams can email copies of all completed PDF certificates as well as a ‘team selfie’  here.

The reward

First 3 teams to submit completions will go in the draw for our an Aboriginal art piece by Rob Naylor for their workspace. The draw will take place and be announced in the middle of National Reconciliation Week 27 May – 3 June.

3 grants up for grabs

The Executive Director Indigenous Strategy, through LTC, is also offering the opportunity for faculties, disciplines, schools and units to apply for one of three grants of up to $15,000 each to engage in the program. This opportunity is a Reconciliation Action Plan outcome related to the embedding of Indigenous Knowledges into the core curriculum. Jindaola, developed by LTC in consultation with local Elders and Knowledge holders, is modelled on traditional Aboriginal knowledge systems responsible for the conducting of business and maintaining knowledge integrity. This will be the fifth round of the 18 month program, and all are encouraged to apply here.  Enquiries relating to the program or the application process can be sent here.

Closing Date: 9 June 2021

We look forward to your ‘Action’ in this area and of course your awesome ‘selfies’.
