We are delighted to welcome new students to UOW for their online Spring Orientation taking place on Tuesday 20 July.
Faculties and schools will be streaming live welcome sessions, where students will receive important information about their Faculty/Course and learn about the range of support services and opportunities available at UOW.
There will be a suite of online workshops and information sessions, video tutorials and other resources, to help students transition into university and get the best possible start in their first session.
‘Transition for Success’ sessions cover topics like using the Library, navigating SOLS, understanding fees, accessing support services, a Q&A panel with current students and much more.
All sessions will be live streamed and available on demand for all students to access again at a later date. This will also ensure students studying remotely and international students who may be impacted by border closures to be included.
We know the UOW O-Festival is an iconic part of the orientation experience, and an event all new students look forward to. Unfortunately, current COVID-19 restrictions and health advice has made it challenging to plan for or host large scale in-person events on campus, so at this point in time, the O-Festival will not be going ahead on July 19.
Online Academic Advice 1:1 consultations are taking place from Monday 5 July, providing specific academic advice to those students who are yet to enrol and need further assistance with this process. We thank the Academic staff for their support in coordinating these sessions.
