This Summer session the library is introducing a new subject readings tool. Integrating seamlessly with Moodle, it simplifies how to build your reading list and enables you to see how your students engage with resources.

You can either:

  • Request your readings from last year (which you can check and edit in the new system), or
  • Start afresh and create a new list for your subject
How to get started?

Firstly, create the subject Moodle site, then head to the Subject Readings guide to set up your list and get started.

The Library team will send an email to all Faculty mailing lists with more information, and details of drop-in sessions.

If you are teaching in Summer Session 2021/2022, you will need to submit your list via the new tool by Friday 5 November to enable us to order or digitise materials required for your subjects.

Selecting resources

We strongly recommend using electronic resources in reading lists to support flexible learning and greater equity of access. However, some ebooks are only made available for individual private purchase, with no provision for libraries to purchase.

Any print set texts can be borrowed for the normal loan period, subject to recall.

More information about selecting resources and library support can be found inĀ the guide.
