Today a new HR intranet page goes live which offers a more intuitive way of finding HR information.

Following research plus consultation with UOW staff, information is now organised in ‘themes’ which will help you get to the information you need quickly.

Please take some time to navigate the page and familiarise yourself. Also, if you manage a Faculty or Division intranet page you may need to update some old links (some redirects have been implemented but not all).

The new intranet page is the first step in changing the way HR delivers information and services to its customers. In the coming weeks, a HR Help Desk will be launched which will provide a single point of contact with HR and allow tracking of enquiries. Instead of calling or emailing individuals in HR, you’ll now log a ticket in the Help Desk through the Unified system and your request will be allocated to the appropriate HR team member. This takes the guesswork out of who to contact and is a similar process to what we already use in the IMTS Service Portal.

With the launch of the HR Help Desk the ‘My Knowledge’ database in Unified will also allow UOW staff to self-service information including a range of knowledge articles and FAQs, before logging a ticket.

The new HR intranet page and the upcoming Unified launch are both important steps towards increasing efficiencies and technology at UOW, and we hope you’re as excited about these changes as we are.
