The Early Start Denver Model (ESDM) is a play-based intervention, specifically designed for young children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). It has a strong and growing evidence base around the world.

Focusing on play and routines, it integrates both behavioural and developmental principles to empower children with ASD to become active participants in the world around them. You can now access these expert-led online & some face to face workshops and become a confident educator, parent and therapist – helping children with ASD connect, communicate and learn like never before.

Our workshops are tailored specifically to each audience and setting, plus parent workshops are covered under the NDIS funding.

Be trained by an expert in the field, UOW Early Start’s Elizabeth Aylward is one of only four ESDM certified trainers in Australia. She has been teaching the ESDM since 2010 and has trained more than 200 professionals and given guidance to many parents over the past 10 years. Elizabeth has also completed her Doctor of Philosophy in Autism Intervention at the University of Wollongong.
