Join the Alumni Relations team on Thursday 8 July for this year’s second UOW Knowledge Series lecture: ‘Roadmap to a sustainable, equitable energy future’.

Featuring Dr Liz Develin, CEO, Australian Energy Regulator and Mr Ty Christopher, Managing Director Ty Christopher & Associates and Honorary Professorial Fellow of the Faculty of Engineering & Information Sciences, at UOW, the panel discussion will be facilitated by Emeritus Professor Chris Cook.

Australia’s energy system is undergoing enormous and irreversible transformation, driven by customer choice, new technology and changing economic and community imperatives. The accelerated implementation of new technology such as renewable generation, distributed generation and alternative fuels into regulatory and economic markets which were not designed with such technologies in mind creates a need to navigate coincident and sometimes conflicting issues.

Join a conversation on the social, economic and technical aspects of the energy future, as the University helps plot a sustainable and equitable roadmap from the present into a new energy future. Community engagement in new energy solutions will lead to better outcomes for society, business and the environment. Come and ask the burning questions you have of our experts!
