Congratulations to six UOW researchers recognised in the 2019 UOW Scholars Impact Story competition for developing exceptional impact stories detailing their research impact and maintaining a complete up-to-date profile.
Equal first place winners were A/Prof Jenny Fisher and Dr Kelly Lambert for their respective research impact stories on ‘Where does Arctic mercury come from?’ and ‘Redesigning patient education materials to improve health outcomes’.
Prof Lee Moerman was awarded the Highly Commended Prize for her impact Story ‘The cost of sending off a loved one’.
Prof Marc in het Panhuis, Dr Mehrdad Amirghasemi, and Dr Johan Barthelemy were awarded the Travel Grant Prize from the Global Challenges Program for their team’s story ‘3D printed fins for surfboards: finding the right flow’.
