UOW is hosting the next University Global Partnership Network (UGPN) conference in 2020: March 30- April 01, chaired by the DVCR&I, Professor Jennifer Martin.
The UGPN was initiated in 2011 with an aim to create a foundation for international collaboration enabling academics and students from some of the world’s top universities to work together on issues of global importance.
The University of São Paulo, North Carolina State University and the University of Surrey were the founding members of the University Global Partnership Network (UGPN). UOW joined the UGPN in November 2015.
The two and a half day Conference program for this year’s Conference will include:
- Plenaries from UOW Academic researchers tackling global issues and presentations from UOW Undergraduate and Postgraduate students engaged in finding real-world solutions to global problems and forme recipients of Research Collaborative Fund grants.
- Three themed multidisciplinary workshops targeting key UN SDGs
- Lunchtime panels addressing Equity, diversity and equality and Collaboration in Teaching and Learning
- Campus tours
- Networking events
- Professional staff workshops discussing marketing and communications, equity and diversity and student and staff mobility
The program for the UGPN Conference 2020 is currently being finalised and we anticipate registration opening mid December.
