The University of Wollongong is committed to creating a safe and respectful environment for all members of our community. We believe everyone has the right to feel safe and supported on campus, free from discrimination, harassment and assault.
A draft Improper Sexual Conduct Response Policy has been developed to provide details of the support and guidance available to individuals who may have suffered any form of improper sexual conduct, provides internal and external reporting options and outlines UOW’s response to dealing with incidents of alleged improper sexual conduct.
The policy has been developed in accordance with the recommendations as set out in the Australian Human Rights Commission (AHRC) ‘Change the Course’ report on sexual assault and sexual harassment’ and Universities Australia ‘Guidelines for University Responses to Sexual Assault and Sexual Harassment’.
You are invited to provide feedback on the draft Policy to Carmel Perre at carmelp@uow.edu.au by Wednesday 26 February, 2020.
