As part of a two week academic and cultural exposure program, forty eight students from Community College of City University (CCCU) / UOW College – Hong Kong (UOWC HK) visited the Wollongong campus and explored the Illawarra region.

For the first time, students studying with UOWC HK in Beijing joined students currently undertaking an Associate Degree with CCCU/UOWC HK. Graduates from UOW Top-Up degrees at CCCU/UOWC HK also joined the group to explore the possibility of future study opportunities at UOW’s Wollongong campus.

The group participated in a variety of activities including English conversation groups, English for academic purposes lessons, academic briefings, community engagement and local sightseeing activities. To enhance their experience, all students stayed with local families for the duration of the tour.

The study tour was supported by a variety of UOW faculties and divisions, to present a program that provides cultural insights and academic learning. Students were required to present what they have learned about Australia on their last day on campus to a panel of both UOW and CCCU/UOWC HK staff.

CCCU/UOWC Hong Kong currently offers UOW programs in the form of Bachelor of Business, Bachelor of Computer Science, Bachelor of Communication and Media Studies and Bachelor of Psychological Science Top Up degrees.
