Professor Sarah O’Shea has been appointed the Director of the National Centre for Student Equity in Higher Education (NCSEHE) based at Curtin University, commencing in the role in January 2020.

Professor O’Shea is a highly regarded expert in educational equity, having spent more than two decades teaching and researching in the higher education field.

Based at Curtin University since 2013, the NCSEHE provides national leadership of student equity in higher education, connecting research, policy and practice to improve higher education participation and success for marginalised and disadvantaged people.

Professor O’Shea will provide leadership and managerial support to the running of the NCSEHE and manage research, publishing and administrative functions for the Centre, bringing a wealth of knowledge to Curtin and the NCSEHE.
