Liverpool City Council has awarded three students studying at the University of Wollongong’s (UOW) South Western Sydney (SWS) campus $5000 each.
The scholarships offered by the Council support the career aspirations of students and aims to inspire local students to utilise their acquired expertise and give back to the local community.
The inaugural scholarships were awarded by the Council in 2020, recognising the outstanding academic records and acknowledging their contributions to the community.
Students who have been awarded the $5000 scholarships are:
- Amanda Moss, Bachelor of Computer Science
- Aleksandar Veselinovic, Bachelor of Communication and Media
- Jessica Di Bartolo, Bachelor of Nursing
Liverpool Mayor Wendy Waller congratulated the students and said improving access to education is key to the City’s growth and development.
