As part of Dementia Action Week we would like to put the spotlight on loneliness and how it’s impacting those living with dementia. Prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, one in four Australians were recorded to express feelings of loneliness. Throw dementia and a global pandemic into the mix and the feeling of isolation has increased due to a lack of connection with others, social distancing being encouraged or enforced and the stigma around dementia.
This webinar is designed to support everyone impacted by dementia, from patients to carers, family members and those in our culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) communities. The content of the session will provide guidance on ways to cope with these changes and stay connected at the same time.
12:30 pm Wednesday 23 September via Zoom.
