Our sold-out recycled plastics jewellery workshop is back for another run!
Join us at the UOW Makerspace to transform and recycle old plastics into your own unique earrings in this workshop! Both first-time and returning makers are welcome!
To create these earrings, over the course of the workshop creators will:
- Break down colourful plastic into usable pieces
- Use a heat press to melt and flatten the plastic into a sheet
- Use a laser cutter to cut out your earring designs
- Use a heat gun, hot glue gun, and other equipment to assemble your final designs
Makers will come out of the workshop with several pairs of their own completely unique earrings, a better understanding of recycling and some skills on how to use some cool equipment!
Session 1: Thursday June 10, 5:30 pm-7:30 pm
Session 2: Saturday June 12, 10 am-12 pm
