Last week we held our first Reconciliation Action Plan Steering Committee meeting where a new membership came together. The new membership attempts to ensure the proposed outputs of the new RAP will reach and be embedded into all pockets of UOW and our wider external UOW community.

The RAP Steering Committee is a formally constituted committee within the university who provide guidance and oversight around the development, implementation and monitoring of our RAP. We will endeavour to ensure that our staff, students and community are provided with updates around our collaborations. In support of this we are wanting to share three points of discussions from this meeting:

  • Our RAP Steering Committee believes accountability is paramount to our overall RAP success;
  • It was agreed that ensuring visibility of our RAP actions and deliverables must be present across all areas of the university;
  • Work will commence to ensure the nexus of our RAP with UOW plans and strategies are made clear.

We are committed and excited about the streamlined approach to advancing reconciliation at UOW. Our RAP development consultation process is full steam ahead and we encourage you all to engage in the process.

Please reach out to if you have any questions or would like to hear more about our RAP.
